The main focus of the choir is to lead and stir up the voices of all in the congregation. It is not to replace the congregation, not to perform. The choir should be evaluated not by how well they sing. But by how well, how actively, the entire congregation sings. (Musicam Sacrum. No. 19)
"He who sings, prays twice" - St. Augustine. We have the choir with mixed age group both women and men. They do assist the congregation on all important days, including Sundays and feast days. A melodious and vibrant voices mixed with piety enable the congregation to participate meaningfully in the liturgical services.
